Tahini Paste

Ingredients

1 cup of hulled sesame seeds, toasted

4 Tbs of grape seed oil

Kosher salt


Instructions

  1. Add sesame seeds to a dry medium sauce pan, and over medium-low heat, begin to toast seeds
  2. Stirring constantly (be sure not to let the seeds burn!), until fragrant; around 4 minutes
  3. Remove toasted seeds from heat, and let them cool completely
  4. In a food processor add toasted seeds, and process until crumbly (around 1-2 minutes)
  5. Add a pinch of salt, and begin adding in olive oil until you’ve reached the desired consistency (which for tahini, is normally pourable and smooth)
  6. Use on salads, sandwiches, or as a base for tahini sauces
