Amanyara Resort Turks and Caicos

Amanyara Resort Turks and Caicos

The Amanyara Resort Turks and Caicos is an exquisite hotel. Upon arrival until departure, you feel as if you’re the only guest on the resort’s grounds. With that being said, if you’re looking for a party scene, maybe this hotel isn’t the right choice for you. However, if you’re looking for impeccable service, relaxing spa days, and private beaches with crystal blue water, this is your spot. Tucked away from civilization, surround by lush jungle, Amanyara is only accessible by a very long and winding road. However, you’re driven to and from your destinations in a white Land Rover, which seems to make the drive that much easier.

Once you’ve arrived, you’re welcomed by the heads of the different staffing teams at the hotel. You’re greeted by name, and supplied with a very tasty tea. From there, you’re brought to the front desk to sort out minor details or requests you have for your stay. Once sorted, you are driven by a fancier version of a golf cart to your pavilion.

Your bags have already magically arrived, and there’s a hand written letter welcoming you to paradise, along with a bottle of champagne. It takes quite a few minutes to absorb the details and beauty of this oasis, but my God, I could stay here forever. From the beautiful bathtub, rain shower and delicious snacks in the room, the pool pavilion is also equipped with it’s own private infinity pool.

Once you finally adventure outside of your pavilion, you can either call for a cart pickup, take a bike, or simply walk to anywhere on the resorts grounds. One of my first stops was the spa; I’m a sucker for a great massage. The spa facility is (of course) beautiful, sitting amongst a tranquility pond. The massage was relaxing and energizing all in one! The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable in what they do. After this, I took a stroll to the private beach.

White sands and crystal clear blue water, bliss. Since the beach is private, don’t expect a huge party scene. However, if you’re in dire need of human companionship, one of the resort’s restaurants is beachside, so you can easily wander there and grab a cocktail or two.

From a tranquil spa, beautiful resort grounds, impeccable service, and an exquisite private beach, the Amanyara in Turks an Caicos is a top destination. The one and only dislike I had, comes from the main restaurant, which I believe is called just that, The Restaurant at Amanyara. To begin, the food was good, but for the price you pay to stay here, it should be excellent. Again, it was good, but I wasn’t blown away like I was at Coco Bistro and Infiniti Restaurant & Raw Bar. Lastly, was the bill. Maybe it’s because I’m not boujie enough, but if you’re a guest here, you don’t receive a bill at the end of dinner. They just know who you are, and bill to your room. A) That’s actually super badass and makes the dinning experience less rushed, and you don’t have anyone hovering over you to get you settled up; B) If you don’t know about this badass feature, you’re sat there wondering where the hell your waiter went, and how to slyly wave down anyone without looking like a total dud.

All in all, this resort is one of the most luxurious resorts I have visited. If you want to escape from the world, but still be treated like a king or queen, head here.
