Storm a nursing home and make people smile! Nursing homes rely on volunteers to come and provide company for their residents. And what better way to spend an evening than playing cards with some badass people! And I mean badass in the most respectful way. Think about it. These residents hold a plethora of knowledge when it comes to life experiences; the wisdom and life lessons they’ve learned will most definitely shed light into your own personal life. And don’t worry, if you’re not into cards, there’s a million other things you can do while volunteering, like: Bringing meals, providing transportation, participating in arts and crafts, or even just listening and chatting with the seniors. In all honestly, the older I get, the more I realize how right people older than me have been in giving me advice over the years. I should have listened sooner!
